Amy Walton
Story:
Amy works within the performance marketing team at Chelsea Football Club. She joined the club in 2021, after finishing university as an ad operations executive, sitting under the digital marketing umbrella. Amy is responsible for delivering club inventory ad campaigns across all commercial business units and partners across Chelsea’s web and app platforms as well as supporting on the paid media strategy across the same teams. Reason for nomination:
Stepping into her first role in the commercial world, nobody could’ve written the script for the year she has had at Chelsea Football Club. Despite the number of challenges thrown at her, through club sanctions, a change in ownership and strategy as well as the ever unpredictable every day life of working within football, Amy has excelled and delivered great value for the football club. Her composed approach to challenges she has faced and forward thinking approach to campaign strategy and delivery has shown great evidence that she is a real marketer for the future and will continue to be an incredible asset for Chelsea Football Club. She has such a passion for her work, particularly in driving the growth of Women’s football inside and outside of the football club that I feel deserves real recognition. She is an incredibly talented individual with such potential to become a real leader at Chelsea football club and within the industry and I think she would benefit greatly from any opportunity in enabling her to grow and learn even further.
