Charlotte Lynch

Charlotte Lynch
Passionate Player

Story:

It's with great pleasure that I write to you today to nominate Charlotte Lynch for the #WeSeeYou Network award.
I believe that Charlotte is the best choice for the award because she consistently displays values of humanitarianism, honesty and public service.

She launched her own Hot Topics show, where she asks tough questions about the sports industry and gets her audience to self-reflect and give feedback.

The topics include:
How to mitigate the amount of abuse premier league players face from fans, pundits and on social media.
Sentimental memories surrounding Sport
Honouring those who have made an impact in our lives
On her social media, she recently interviewed West Ham' all time top goal scorer Michael Antonio.
She asked insightful and well-thought out questions which would encourage the audience to chase their dreams.

Community work:

She supports Millwall' food hub, "The Lions Food Hub" to tackle food poverty as she previously played for Millwall FC
She runs a project with her sister delivering well-being, self-esteem and other workshops in youth centres and schools
She helped to launch the grassroots female team Impact FC, by reaching out to women & girls who had lost touch with the game and encouraging them to return to it in a comfortable environment.

Impact work:

She created a segment for London Fashion Week that represented women's football. Charlotte gathered a diverse group of female footballers which she had played with throughout her career, they wore the England Kit and walked proudly down the catwalk to raise the profile of women's football and highlight that everyone should feel welcome in football. Charlotte is committed to diversity and inclusion in football and stands up against discrimination and exclusion.

Awards:
She was nominated for Outstanding Female Contribution to Sports Award” at the first annual London Chamber Black Excellence Awards and she was included in the players on the list, alongside Bukayo Saka, Marcus Rashford, Raheem Sterling and Andre Gray on the Football Black List - an initiative to highlight the most influential black figures in the game

Reason for nomination:

Charlotte has the intention to make a change in the football world. She is very passionate about eliminating discrimination in the football realm.
