Charlotte Lynch

Passionate Player

Story:

Charlotte is a kind, caring individual with a heart for her community.

Growing up, she was the only girl on a boys football team. Nowadays through her social media platforms (and her upcoming children’s book), she continues to send a strong message, deeply focused on challenging stereotypes & encouraging young females to get involved in the game!

This summer, she created a football
Segment at London Fashion Week, walking the catwalk leading a select number of diverse female footballers to shine a light on multicultural talent in the women’s game.

Although she has now signed for Leyton Orient, She still works closely with her previous football Team’s (Millwall) food bank, The Lion’s Food Hub, providing food for families on low income.

She creates accessible tutorials for this wanting to improve on their football
skills… Her recent Neymar tutorial, which featured herself & another female has racked up over 111,000 views

Reason for nomination:

She is committed to ensuring that young girls and women have a voice and opportunities to play football, love football and be proud to be a part of the world's greatest sport.

She endeavours to promote good relations with the men's game and has encouraged them to see the great potential of an equal playing field for all. She continues to kick start women into a place of knowing they can achieve great things on and off the pitch against every obstacle.

She has also encouraged a number of women to get back into the game who had lost touch with the game due to mental health, childcare etc. to return to the game in a safe and happy environment.
