Story:
Claire offered to help our junior football club 4 years ago by opening up a Saturday morning cafe, to try and boost our dwindling club funds. It was a huge success and not only did she clear our overdraft, she bought in a small profit over the course of the season. She would work every hour on a Saturday, starting with the early morning trip to the butchers, ending with the sweeping of the floor, once everyone had gone home!!
Although she didn't have any children in the club, she loved it so much that she wanted to get involved in other capacities within the club.
She now runs our membership and holds our secretarial position. Still wont give up the cafe however.
Reason for nomination:
She puts so much effort and voluntary time into the football club and is a huge huge help for our ongoing success.
