Story:
In June 2021 Ope had a tibial operation which prevented her from playing football for a year , but despite that , while recovering she achieved her FA level 1 coaching badge and extra qualifications. Whilst being in crutches , she began coaching at her secondary school .
She is now an U8 grassroots manager, whilst coaching u16 boys at 16 as well as weekly coaching girls at her school.
In October , she launched her own football organisation, the Effort Over Environment Foundation on Instagram as a platform to showcase , engage and inspire girls from inner city boroughs. A few days after her 17th Birthday she was invited to The Womens View podcast to share her journey and vision for the EOE Foundation.
Reason for nomination:
Ope is a selfless hard worker , who despite the odds that come her way overcomes them gracefully. She is a true embodiment of her foundation as she constantly triumphs within the football industry at such a young age .
