Kimberly Rendon

Passionate Player

Story:

My Name is Kimberly Rendon, and this is my story.
for as long as I can remember While growing up I would always be outside kicking a soccer ball around with my Dad, he has always had a passion for the sport. I seemed to have inherited that from him. my favorite team has always been Chelsea, and still to this day, I will get up at 7 or 6 in the morning each Saturday/Sunday that the team plays. I have a great passion for the sport and if I only got one chance to prove it I would. I have had a lot of setbacks when it comes to playing for a Team, and the last couple of years have been filled with loss after loss. I can't afford to pay my way through a soccer academy and the closest one to me is around 2 hours away so even if I could afford it I would not be able to attend every practice. A lot of the Chelsea women have inspired me to want to become a professional soccer player, but someone that really stands out for me is Erin Cuthbert. she may not be the tallest on the pitch (just like myself) but she can sure make some fantastic dribbles and punish the opponents for their mistakes. I go outside just about every day after school, my plan is to graduate high school and college in 2024 and proceed to play for a university and hopefully get drafted from there. I have one dream, and that is to play for Chelsea Women's FC. Seeing this opportunity to be able to meet the players I look up to so much, I couldn't let it pass by without me trying, I really hope you consider this story and hope to see you soon.

with much Love,
Kimberly R.

Reason for nomination:

I think I deserve to be seen because I have potential in me, I. am hungry to play. if I get this chance I will prove it, All I need is an opportunity. Just like Cathy Freeman inspired the GOAT Sam Kerr, is how I want to be able to inspire other girls in the future.
