Linzi Davies
Committed Coach

Story:

I have coached grassroots for around 20 years , my first lot of U7’s are now 27 and my current team of U12 I have had since U7.

I am also the youth development officer for our Club , a role commenced in Nov 2017 when we had 3 teams and 33 players at the Club, fast forward 5 years and even accounting for Covid I have grown the club to 35 teams and over 650 Participants

Myself and another female Coach started a Wildcats and Squad session in November 2019 and we now have girls teams from U7 to U12 inclusive with around another 30 enjoying the non team sessions on a Tuesday.

I also am a committed LFC foundation Coach and recently began employment with the FA as Women and Girls ambassador for Liverpool County FA

Reason for nomination:

This is my passion. I just wish the women’s game had been more accessible when I was younger. I am now 45 and was not able to play past 10 with the boys. Female league / teams were in short supply and my parents were not encouraging of a boys sport

I deserve to now be seen, to share my enthusiasm and commitment with everyone I meet. To grow the female game and to seek opportunities for networking and enhancing my own learning through CPD events.

As a youngster I didn’t get the chance to be seen, now I can be seen, heard and inspiring
