Nicole Ramos
Story:
Nicole started playing football when she was nine years old and has never really looked back! Growing up, Nicole played for local teams in London and was later offered a soccer scholarship to the USA! However, after this experience, Nicole stopped playing football and really lost her enjoyment for the game. However, since starting to play football with the Footy Addicts community, Nicole has a revived love for the beautiful game and now playing football is once again such an integral part of her life.
Nicole said, ‘being able to play football in a fun, friendly and welcoming environment has been so positive for my health and wellbeing. What's more, meeting new people and socialising has helped me to build my confidence and self-esteem, while also making some great teammates, friends and memories along the way!’ Outside of football, Nicole enjoys spending time with her family, painting, going to the cinema and volunteering for Wealdstone FC's media team.
Reason for nomination:
Nicole is not just a great player, she's a game-changer. With over 480 Footy Addicts co-ed games under her belt and 115+ Player of the Match awards, she has proved time and time again her dedication to football. But her impact goes beyond just these stats. Nicole is a role model for young girls and women, showing that they, too, can break barriers and reach their full potential in a traditionally male-dominated field. Her inspiring attitude towards the game is something to admire and a true representation of passion in sports.
