Rosheen Khan

Committed Coach

Story:

Rosheen broke barriers to become a grassroots referee and coach, being a Muslim woman.
She has persisted to better herself so girls like her can have better opportunities to play and be part of football and has excelled in the FAW’s mentoring programme as well as in her venture with her sister, setting up She Referee. The aim is to encourage more Asian females to get into refereeing and help provide a pathway and share experiences.

Reason for nomination:

It’s not easy being a female football fan, let alone being an Asian female football fan, coach and referee. Rosheen dropped out of uni to pursue her ambition of being a referee and never stops looking for the next opportunity.
