Varsha Bailey-Gunputh
Story:
Varsha's dream to play football had to end when her parents found out she was playing football.
Fast forward few years and she created a team that she coaches and runs to give all women the opportunity to play football and have a safe space to look after their mental health.
Reason for nomination:
She puts an incredible amount of effort into running the team, organising training, looking after the admin stuff, making sure everyone is happy within the team. She is also a role model for mothers that want to keep doing what they love and being fantastic mothers at the same time.
She has created a group that shares the same values of respect, correctness and kindness.
Varsha goes above and behind to make everyone feel included, no matter their background, sexual orientation or ability.
