Vix

Committed Coach

Story:

Vix has been my boy ollie coach on and off for 3 or 4 years, my son ollie played 2 seasons under Vix and then was diagnosed with autism adhd, for the 2 seasons he played vix didn’t know he was autistic and neither did we untill he got diagnosed later on, even though ollie was always slightly different vix never treated him any different to any of the other boys there and always supported ollie through those tough 2 seasons, ollie then took 2 seasons out of football to focus on himself and try understand what autism is, I’m happy to day ollie has now returned to football very recently and vix was a big part of this, he’s trained for 3 weeks and played his first game today 2 years later, vix is very understanding and massively encouraging, I’m so happy that vix is a coach as she takes ollie under her wing and guides him in the right direction, vix and the other boys just treat he like he’s one of the lads and vix shows him it’s ok to be out of your comfort zone, ollie loves vix and I doubt he would of gone back to football without her, she’s a huge part of why he is playing again and I could never thank her enough for that

Reason for nomination:

Caring, compassion, understanding and most of she always encourages the boys to push on and be the best version of themselves, she’s a superstar
