Reason for nomination:

Debs is an incredible person and coach kindhearted and caring. She has worked tirelessly on and off the pitch creating stronger links with all the junior teams at the club providing them with role models and being one herself by leading and empowering us to become better people aswell as players .

She has grown our women’s section substantially from one 11-aside team to two and created a She inspires team, a team that encourages women who are beginners or women that are getting back into football. Coaching over 50+ women a week this is again testament to her as a fun, kind and professional coach.

Her enthusiasm and passionate nature is infectious. She has a big heart and is always there for the girls on and off the pitch. She is hardworking and is constantly creating new opportunities for women and girls to play football.

She has even created a specialist GK session for all the GKs out there across the league. This is Debs to a tee making sure everyone is included and has the opportunity to develop, there has never been so many different opportunities to play football within the St Helens community. No matter your level or ability.

Her care for players is on another level. She really is one of a kind, a real inspirational role model for the women’s game.
