I happen to be a late bloomer into the footballing world. Being of African descent, playing football was and still is frowned upon for females. I started playing football when I was 15, now 25, I have had been blessed to play alongside many talented players. I have played in tier 9 to tier 3 football and made some of my greatest friends from football. Being a player particularly on the bigger side it has always been a challenge to be able to prove myself as I am often prejudged before I start playing. This hasn’t stopped me from continuing to push to play at higher levels, coach the younger generation and play as an important role model not only for myself but for those around me.
