Media Masterminds

Reason for nomination:

My nominee deserves to be seen because

Sirayah is a relatable young black woman with a passion for all things sports, specifically football.

She’s a new fresh face with an incredible work ethic and never fails to surpass expectations.

Over the course of the last year Sirayah has achieved nothing but incredible things such as starting her own sports podcast, flying overseas for matches, interviewing multiple players, creating content for the men and women’s team and being featured on Sky Sports News multiple times.

She always makes sure to celebrate black players on and off the pitch without fail.
She was also apart of the Chelsea FC 75th Windrush celebration campaign, always letting everyone know she’s a proud Jamaican.

She’s made me more interested in sports and sports related content , she gives hope to other young black women that want to get into the industry.

Her engagement on her social media has shot up drastically within the last year as her content is always relatable, consistent and she’s constantly interacting with her followers.

It’s amazing to see a black woman that looks like me doing things that I couldn’t even imagine seeing a black woman doing. She’s not only an amazing presenter but also an amazing person.

Sirayah also has an amazing history of working with players under 18, her goal has always been diversity, inclusivity and youth empowerment within football. She wants nothing more but to make sure black people get the recognition they deserve within the industry and I can’t wait to see the rest of her journey.
