Viv Jeffers

Community Champions

Reason for nomination:

Viv does so much for her club and her community! She volunteers her time and energy, rain or shine for the love of footy. Viv has a true passion for providing women / non-binary and girls with the opportunity to play football (from the little leagues, to the mums, to the senior women's team - my sista doesn't stop!!). She makes East London Ladies an inclusive club and she treats each player with respect. Her dedication deserves some recognition. To me, Viv is more than my coach (I've been out with an injury all season but she still makes me feel part of the team), she's a community anchor (with a laugh that no one can forget). Viv is an inspiration and an ambassador for women's football. As a white women in the game, I feel a responsibility to shine a brighter light on inspirational Black female leaders to create better representation of black women in the game (p.s. England Women's National Team, take notes).
