Alison Knight

Reason for nomination:
I have always played football since I can remember. I am committed to creating opportunities for more people particularly women and girls to access, enjoy and participate in a beautiful game as this was not something available when I was younger. I have previously coached and volunteered in football and work with vulnerable people with both mental health needs and learning disabilities to be included and improve the equality in the community football creates and the confidence it builds both on and off the pitch. I am keen to ensure safe spaces for females are visible in sport and I can be a role model to demonstrating the benefits of football in overcoming my own person barriers to help other achieve their potential, I have done this more recently through redoing coaching qualifications. I have already been lucky enough experience the connectivity that the We See You Network has generated from past events and I would be so excited to continue to this contribution and develop this platform further for future footballers.
