Ally Flan

for a long time, I felt like I was the only girl who cared about women’s football. I used to get made fun of in school for wearing my favourite women’s team jersey, and people would say no one cared about it. I started to believe them and felt like maybe I should just keep my love for football to myself.

Then one day, I found Ally Flan’s page. She talked about women’s football like it was the biggest and best thing in the world. She made it exciting, she made it important, and she made me feel like I wasn’t alone. Seeing how passionate she was made me realise that there are so many people who love the game just as much as I do.

Because of Ally, I stopped hiding my love for football. I started wearing my jersey proudly again, and when people tried to say women’s football doesn’t matter, I told them they were wrong. She made me feel like it was cool to support the sport and that I should never be afraid to stand up for what I believe in.
