I am a passionate advocate for inclusion within football. I believe that sport has the power to change individuals and communities for the better, and that no one should be denied the opportunity to experience its benefits. This has alwas been a focus of my work as a journalist and writer. Formerly a reporter at the Yorkshire Evening Post for NationalWorld, I pushed for coverage of the women's game, launching and hosting the Women's Super League podcast and becoming the media group's first writer dedicated to the sport. After the Lionesses' Euro 2022 triumph brought hordes of new fans to the game, I created a newsletter, 31/7, which made football accessible to those who don't have a lot of knowledge of the sport. Today my blog, A More Beautiful Game, sheds light on some of football's biggest issues, while celebrating the people doing good stuff to make the game better. When not at my keyboard, I am a striker and a fan, and always a cheerleader for anyone who wants to get involved in football.
