Kelly Chesterton

Kelly is an absolutely fantastic grassroots football coach for York Railway Institute, she has set up 5 girls football teams as well as taking on and supporting Wildcats. She is also part of the club committee, with the welfare of the girls being her goal. She has recently supported a viral campaign #girlscanhaveshorthairtoo because of the grief that some of the girls in her team were getting, and being accused of being male. This has reached national papers and tv channels like Sky news. She not only coach’s, she enriches the girls and they all look up to her. During in summer she takes time off from her job to run summer camps, she puts extra training sessions and running sessions on during the week, and she is just an all round fantastic advocate for women’s/girls football.
