Nicole Lockwood-West

Reason for nomination:
Nicole has written and produced a play about the 1971 women’s World Cup called “The Lost Lionesses” which has won Broadway Worlds “Best new production of a play”, “Best direction of a new play” and “Best supporting actor” shining a light on an often forgotten piece of women’s sporting history.
Nicole worked hard on writing this play by interviewing players of the 1971 England team as well as researching letters in the British library between the manager Harry Batt and the FA.
The show had a sold out run in London and she managed to get funding for another run in Bedford, the home of the 1971 team.
I would love for Nicole to have a chance to be a part of the We See You network in order to help grow her show to see more audiences! Preserving the history of women’s sports is really important and I hope she can gain a place with We See You.
